It's a funny story, really.
Well, that part's not so funny, but really not so remarkable in the long run. What is remarkable is the story of just how improbable it is that my wife's belly now has one of these inside of it, and has for more than 14 weeks.
Listen to that heartbeat! It's the heartbeat of a marathon runner! (One-time, anyway.) The bet part is right at the end, when the ultrasound tech says he thinks it sounds like a girl. Nichole practically comes off the table.
This blog will, hopefully, be Nichole's and my way of keeping in touch with you (whoever you are) and of adding our own perspectives to this unexpected blessing of a ride called parenthood. I'll try to post a couple of times a week, with photos when possible (probably some toys coming up; Nichole won't let me take pics until she feels she is obviously (to her) pregnant. I have no choice but to agree.
Thanks for your readership, and your support and prayers.
Matt
Congratulations.
